I was diagnosed with caudia equina a rare spinal injury in July 2019. Thankfully the seriousness was recongnised by GP and referred immediately via Ealing A+E to Mr Kareem and his team at Charing Cross. Surgery in the middle of the night was difficult and protracted and despite on table complications I am making great recovery and feel confident about my outcomes. I am so grateful to Mr Kareem and the NHS . When it works it really works.

I would not have done my surgery if I had not met Mr Haider Kareem. He gave in confidence and hopes. I was scared but deep down I knew I did trust him. He was second most important person to me after God. He not only changed my life but brought life into me again. May God bless him and help more people like me in my condition.

Dr Kareem carried out a revision to my previous failed spinal fusion after I had been told that my condition was inoperable by another surgeon. I now walk easily and without pain and am looking forward to regaining full fitness and mobility where I had previously been using a wheelchair on occasion due to the severe pain. He is a kind and compassionate person as well as an excellent surgeon I highly recommend him.
